The market has slowed considerably since the pandemic frenzy. Since then, interest rates have eclipsed 8% and exceed 7%. These rates may seem astronomical following the historically-low rates we saw in 2020 and 2021. And, yet, the current interest rates hover near the median interest rate since 1975 (7.14%) and far lower than the 18.63% rates experienced 1981.
